LinkedIn Easy Apply or a company website: choose the right route

Two jobs on the same search page can send you through very different application forms. Identify the route before starting so you know where to upload a resume and where confirmation should appear.

Identify the destination

LinkedIn distinguishes an Easy Apply flow from an Apply button that takes you to an external destination. Read the button label and the destination that opens. An external page might belong to the employer or its recruiting provider. Keep the original posting URL so you can return to the job details if the new form asks for context.

On Indeed, read the available application label and the form that follows it. Some applications stay within an Indeed flow; others continue on a company site. The route can depend on the listing. Do not assume that every job returned by one keyword uses the same process.

Review the resume selected for this job

A file saved in a job-board account may not automatically transfer to an employer portal. Read the attachment field on the current form, choose the correct version and confirm that the upload has finished. If a portal accepts PDF, inspect the document before choosing it. If it requires another format, follow the portal's actual instructions.

Expect separate account and form requirements

An employer portal may ask you to create an account, verify an email or complete additional questions. These are separate from the job-board login. Review the destination and its requirements before sharing information. Signing in to LinkedIn or Indeed does not mean that you are signed in to every employer's recruiting system.

Keep unknown answers for review

Questions about experience, work eligibility and availability should reflect your confirmed information. A custom dropdown may offer wording different from a saved answer. If there is no accurate choice, stop and read the question rather than selecting the closest-looking option automatically. Human verification stays a manual step.

Confirm the result in the right place

For an external application, the employer portal's acknowledgement is the evidence that matters. Returning to a job-board listing is not enough to establish that the employer received your form. For a job-board application, read its own completion message and check the associated application history when needed.

Alomar Apply has separate controls for supported native and company-site paths in applicable builds. Employer forms and extension versions differ; a company-site button is not a promise that every recruiting portal can be completed. Use the company-site guide to prepare the handoff and keep uncertain results separate in your tracker.
